How To Prepare For Your White-Glove Appointment

Our goal is to make the process as effortless as possible for you. You do not need to struggle with heavy rolls of carpet. To ensure the smoothest experience and the safety of your belongings, we ask for just a few simple preparations before our technicians arrive:

1

Clear Fragile Items & Decor

Please remove small breakables, table lamps, vases, photo frames, and heirlooms from the tops of coffee tables or end tables that sit on the rug. This prevents accidental breakage while we shift the furniture.

2

Furniture Moving Assistance

Our team is happy to assist with "Light Furniture Manipulation." This includes moving coffee tables, sliding standard sofas, shifting dining chairs, and moving armchairs. We will carefully move these items, roll the rug, and place them back (or move them aside).

3

Heavy/Specialty Item Limitations

For liability reasons and the safety of our crew, we do not move heavy entertainment centers, grand pianos, filled china cabinets, aquariums, or delicate antiques. If your rug is anchored by one of these items, we kindly ask that you have it moved prior to our arrival.

4

Accessibility

Please ensure there is a clear path from the room to the entry door so our technicians can safely maneuver your rolled rug (which can be 9 to 12 feet long) without obstructing hallways or knocking over entryway decor.

Why "In-Plant" Washing Beats "In-Home" Cleaning

Many homeowners ask, “Can’t you just clean it here?” The answer is no—at least, not if you want it done correctly. We pick up your rugs not just for your convenience, but for the safety of your home’s infrastructure and the health of your textiles. Here is why Off-Site Immersion is superior to In-Home Steam Cleaning:

Zero Risk to Your Hardwood Floors

Cleaning a rug in your living room requires water. Standard steam cleaning (hot water extraction) often forces moisture through the backing of the rug and onto the floor underneath. This trapped moisture can cause hardwood planks to cup and warp, or create a breeding ground for mildew in your subfloor. At our facility, rugs are washed on concrete wash pits, eliminating any risk to your home’s flooring.

Deep Soil Removal (The "Mud" Factor)

In-home vacuums and steam wands can only remove surface dirt. They cannot remove the pounds of dry, abrasive dust trapped deep in the knots. If you steam clean a rug without dusting it first, that dust turns into wet mud at the base of the fibers, which hardens like cement when dry. Our facility houses the Wolverine Rug Duster, a heavy machine that vibrates grit loose before the wash begins—technology that simply cannot fit in a van.

Controlled Drying & Fringe Care

Wool smells like a “wet dog” when it stays damp for too long. In-home cleaning relies on your ceiling fans to dry the rug, which can take days. Our plant utilizes a temperature-controlled drying room with high-velocity air movers to dry rugs rapidly, preventing bacterial growth and odors. Furthermore, the delicate cotton fringe of a rug cannot be vacuumed without tearing; it must be hand-washed and detailed at our plant to look new again.

“They brought my Turkish wool rug back to life. It had years of grime and dog hair, and now it looks brand new. Super professional team!”
